Job Summary:

We are seeking a Portuguese-speaking Sales & Marketing Manager for Disneyland Paris sales for the Portuguese Market, based in our Madrid office with a permanent contract.

Being fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English is essential for applying to this role.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for the implementation of the Portuguese Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Disneyland Paris contributing to all channels (Trade partners & Consumer Direct channel – Call Center & Web).

As a Sales & Marketing Portuguese specialist, will be the main business Intelligence and sales data dashboard provider, to ensure strategic decisions.

In coordination with the Sales and Marketing Iberia departments, this position will be also responsible for the implementation of the Disney Destination portfolio in Portugal, including Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales, awareness, promotions and business opportunities to deliver annual growth targets, analysing figures and providing insights to drive business.
  • Review operational efficiencies and creative campaigns across all channels for long-term growth to drive sales / awareness, in coordination with Central teams in Paris ( or UK )
  • Coordinate business plans and initiatives implementations among all channels, with regular and permanent business performance monitoring, under the ambitious long-term growth.
  • Build sales and marketing dashboards; Deliver analysis on all DLP campaigns providing Key Performing Indicators, Key Learnings, optimization and improvements throughout campaigns, channels and segments.
  • Business Intelligence provider: generate detailed commercial insights; reporting tools, consumer insight reports & studies and through systems, working with Paris and UK teams to leverage the market intelligence to ensure strategic decisions.
  • Attend and support key travel industry trade shows, webinars, workshops, familiarisation trips (Fam Trips), ship tours, PR events and training events to represent DLP and other Disney Destinations as WDW and DCL.

On the Sales Area:

  • Working with KAMs to implement sales strategy & plans through all DLP sales channels in Portugal by ensuring the alignment of overall channels of the Annual Operation Plan,
  • Have an active role in the planning and forecasting process by providing inputs for Annual Operating Plans and revenue targets ( Consumer insights and market trends )
  • In coop with the sales team, look for and develop new business opportunities and ensure Offsite business growth across the Portuguese market and partners.
  • Promotion of sales mainly through Onsite/Offsite/airline partners/OTAs/Other lines of business in Portugal
  • Support with Sales & marketing tools ( translations, proofreading, etc…)
  • Actively participate in webinars, trainings, fam trips and other events ( including PR trips)

In the Marketing Area:

  • Support the implementation of digital plans & PR promotions to maximize consumer direct sales in the Portuguese market.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the digital plans to maximize consumer direct sales in the Portuguese market.
  • Work with other Disney Parks Segments to follow up on business and activation plans, for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line (permanent communication workflow & product updates), monitor and report sales performance.
  • Translate presentations and digital and promotional marketing tools.
  • Be innovative, creative and proactive, leveraging knowledge of the travel and tourism market to find and implement new opportunities to develop sales and revenues.

The Experience & Skills We Require From You:

  • Portuguese, as a mother language, being fluent in Spanish and English is a must.
  • Large matrix organisation experience is preferable
  • Substantial commercial and marketing experience in a major multi-national environment
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical skills related to the implementation of marketing and sales plans
  • Proven success at working with multiple countries and an ability to adapt approach to each partner
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and communication skills
  • Strong general skills to drive a variety of initiatives from sales plans, commercial changes, marketing and partnerships, creative sign off and more
  • Strong collaborator and partnership skills
  • Appetite to drive emerging markets and foster business growth 
  • Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry would be an advantage
