The successful candidate will play a key role in our dynamic research team and contribute to developing cutting edge tools for environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis for monitoring invasive species and toxin-producing cyanobacteria species in the Great Lakes. The project objectives include development of eDNA-based high throughput quantitative PCR (HT-qPCR) assays and metabarcoding assays for conservation and management of species of interest in the Great Lakes.
The successful candidate will work closely with Dr.Subba Rao Chaganti from the University of Michigan and collaborators from the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Lab and the United States Geological Survey.
Term Appointment: This is a one year term appointment with the possibility of renewal for a second year contingent on performance.
