Brief Job Overview

The eCommerce Content and Product Manager is a non-supervisory position in the Service & Support Department reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Experience. This candidate will support the USP store. 

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for managing and executing the eCommerce platform content strategy for a seamless digital experience that aligns with the company's values and strategic vision with the primary objective to ensure the success of eCommerce initiatives, optimize customer experience, and drive business growth.

The candidate in this role is responsible for establishing and prioritizing a comprehensive eCommerce project and strategy roadmap, based on insights, research, analytics, business needs, and strategic objectives and will partner with various stakeholders and cross functional business units to drive projects and initiatives from inception to implementation.

The eCommerce Content and Product Manager plays a vital role in shaping the company's digital presence and driving successful eCommerce initiatives. With expertise in content strategy, collaboration, and project management, the successful candidate will contribute to creating an exceptional online experience and achieving strategic objectives.

How will YOU create impact here at USP?

  • Manage and execute USP`s eCommerce Platform content strategy for a seamless digital experience in line with the company`s values and strategic vision.
  • Define, manage, and execute an ongoing digital content planning and calendar for the USP Store.
  • Oversee and coordinate key Digital Customer Experience Transformation projects with responsibility for overall success.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization with key stakeholders to translate business needs into innovative solutions, ensure success of eCommerce initiatives to optimize and enhance customer experience.
  • Play a critical role in creating alignment between the development team and business stakeholders.
  • Drive the development and deployment of best-in-class experiences and capabilities that substantially enhance the consumer experience and support USP`s strategic and financial objectives.
  • Leverages analytics and insights to understand the desired end-to-end customer experience across all customer segments and markets.
  • Establish, prioritize, and drive a comprehensive eCommerce project / strategy roadmap, based on insights, research, analytics, business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Establish and monitor success metrics to enable data-driven prioritization and identify improvements.
  • Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices and actively review analytics to ensure KPIs are being met.
  • Plan and coordinate testing pipeline aligned with product and business strategy to inform prioritization and drive eCommerce growth.
  • Ensuring most up-to-date information is displayed on the USP Store, imagery, pricing, inventory and featured sites.
  • Stays updated on eCommerce industry trends, best practices, and platform dynamics to develop strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitors projects from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending; manages changes in scope and schedules.
  • Partner with project teams, vendors, development, insights, analytics, web testing, digital marketing, and other groups in this hands-on role driving projects/initiatives from inception to implementation.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities related to eCommerce project plans, working groups, deliverables, prototypes, system testing and validation, quality assurance, and change management activities.
  • Manages and proactively facilitates meetings and communications, logistics, and follow-ups with the project teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Partner with the internal and external IT team for design enhancements for improved ecommerce user journey and shopping experience.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities related to eCommerce project plans, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
  • Prepares reports, presentations, FAQs, and training materials as needed.
  • Creates and distributes detailed project status reports to all staff in the department to facilitate decision making about new project assignments.
  • Regularly evaluate project performance and metrics, identifying areas of improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Efficiently and independently produce a large volume of stakeholder communications, training materials and FAQs.
  • Applies project management best practices to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Ensures an elevated level of quality combined with overall value to USP.

Who USP is Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in management information systems (MIS), marketing, communications, business, media, or applicable fields).
  • 5+ years of experience successfully leading teams in the field of digital/ecommerce with at least 2 years as general ecommerce management.
  • Previous experience in eCommerce management or a related field, with a strong understanding of eCommerce platforms, digital content strategies, and customer experience optimization.
  • Proven track record in executing successful eCommerce initiatives and projects, from ideation to implementation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to align business objectives with digital solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in change management and business process improvement initiatives, driving organizational transformation and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision-making to measure and improve eCommerce performance.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and understanding of eCommerce performance benchmarks.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
  • CRM Experience-Salesforce.
  • Oracle Commerce Cloud.
  • Adobe Analytics.
  • Prior experience leading implementation of CX enabling platforms and projects, CRM systems/solutions, EDI Technology, E-Commerce in a business-to-business (B2B) environment.

Additional Desired Preferences

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • CCXP Certification.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience building and or maintaining Ecommerce site (B2B AND B2C preferred).
  • Experience with site testing and personalization technologies.
  • Experience using JIRA and agile methodologies.
