Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the GWO Confirmations - Securities Settlements team globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountability

  • Ensure the timely, accurate execution of the full settlement lifecycle across markets.
  • Ensures timely confirmation of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes.
  • Provides insight and support to management during planning, organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the unit’s operations.
  • Proactively supports management efforts to monitor group activity to ensure internal control procedures remain effective, are understood and adhered to.
  • Supports management efforts to motivate staff, increase individual performance, execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
  • Ensure a high degree of operational efficiency, processing accuracy, and conformity to Bank regulation
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Education / Experience / Other Information (including only those that are specific to the role)

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or related roles.
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial services ideally within reconciliation procedures.
  • 2-3 years Capital Markets industry experience/knowledge; ideally within Securities Settlements.
  • Experience in securities settlements across multiple asset classes and markets.
  • Strong knowledge of global settlement systems (such as DTC, Euroclear, and Clearstream), deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (SEC rules, CSDR, SWIFT/ISO standards), and proven ability to resolve settlement exceptions, manage fails, and coordinate with brokers, custodians and optimize settlement processes in a high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environment.
  • Excellent technical skills (VBA, SQL, PowerBi, Python, R).
  • English level advanced.

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Travel may be required on an exception basis.
