Job Description

As a Sr. Manager, People Solutions Country Leader, you’ll partner with the Engineering center and country leadership team on value-add talent solutions across the people portfolio. With a small team of Country Enablement specialists, you’ll lead people initiatives in support of the broader people strategy and ensure core people policies and programs are effectively supported and implemented in Israel. The successful candidate will have experience in HR leadership roles, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a proven track record of driving organizational success through strategy execution. This includes understanding the needs, capabilities, and development opportunities for the employees in Israel, and, in partnership with Centers of Excellence, delivering enterprise programs to meet those needs. The role requires an individual who is hands-on, knowledgeable about operating an Israeli entity, and able to build relationships across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and execute key global talent and people solutions priorities locally. Execute activities related to WD’s talent management and total rewards processes to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders to execute a talent strategy that aligns with the global people priorities. Pro-actively consult on the country-level people agenda and engage as a trusted advisor to the senior leaders for mid to long-term planning.
  • Ensure all compliance and core people processes are governed and updated as needed with an ongoing focus on the intended employee experience while also mitigating risks.
  • Forge strong partnerships with the people ecosystem, including center of excellence partners, to identify fit-for-purpose solutions for country-wide impact.
  • Identify, assess and share key people themes or trends, take action as required and align with global COE for local implementation. Support as required in partnership with local management any crisis affecting employees.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives with a focus on culture, leadership capabilities, and engagement. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 10 + years of progressive experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles
  • Product Engineering / Semiconductor Industry preferred.
  • Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on results and developing high-performing team members.
  • Possesses strong business acumen; understands competitor and industry dynamics and overall business operations
  • Exercises a global mindset and approaches differences with curiosity; global experience preferred.
  • Systems thinking with the ability to define connections and interdependencies.
  • Data fluency with the ability to consult with data-driven insights to help leaders and teams make effective decisions that drive the right outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and diplomacy with the ability to navigate or influence even the most strongly held opinions.
  • Continuous learner with agility and personal resilience to lead through ambiguity and change.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices, employment laws, and regulations
