OVERALL PURPOSE

Pricing team is responsible for continual assessment of BP performance against key targets, ensuring that Fuels pricing is maintained at optimal and at contractual levels for B2C, B2B, LPG & Bottle sales.

Reporting to the Pricing Manager, Pricing Analyst will be responsible for;

  • Providing performance analysis

  • Manage and implement the BP Fuel pricing strategy

  • Develop tactical initiatives to optimise gross margin and volume performance for the mentioned CoT’s

  • Develop & manage commercial database for each site/account reflecting all aspects of like DCF variables, discounts, rebates, fleet, IWB, B2B, LPG & Supply

  • Carry out volume-margin elasticity studies

Key accountabilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Produce performance updates to support the Pricing Manager and Leadership Team

  • Provide recommendations on pricing tactics and strategies to improve volume and margin maximisation

  • Carry out site by site performance management ensuring site level pricing strategies support maximum gross margin delivery

  • Continuously develop the B2C-B2B & LPG pricing optimisation system, manage system upgrades and data imports

  • Coordinate activities among sales, asset, strategy, IT&S, finance & marketing

  • Keep commercial & trade area databases up to date

  • Conduct volume–margin elasticity studies

  • Develop commercial & financial models

  • Assure compliance with BP’s Commercial Defined Practices and OMS.

Essential Education

  • University degree preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self –Motivated and self- Disciplined

  • Time management skills

  • Fluent English

  • MS office applications – advanced excel skills

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Proven strength in analysis including the ability to interpret large amounts of data

  • Ability to communicate complex information across all levels within different areas of the business

  • Basic knowledge of Fuels Value Chain

  • Basic DCF knowledge
