Reports to: KPLR Local Sales Manager

KPLR is looking for a dynamic multi-tasking sales assistant with a creative mind. If you can organize a sales team, correspond with advertising agencies, and work with Excel Spreadsheets we would like to talk to you!


  • Assist sales team with non-revenue generating activities in order to maximize selling opportunities.
  • Interact with viewers and advertisers, maintaining a professional image and upbeat attitude.
  • Ability to support a diverse group of sales people and managers
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks such as faxing, photocopying and filing as required.
  • Complete and submit expense reports for the Account Executives and the Local Sales Manager.
  • Must be able to prepare presentations, one sheets, handle correspondence and emails
  • Interact with advertisers
  • Assist account executives in investigating/resolving problems
  • Track delivery of promotions and web advertisements
  • Assure snipes are ready to air, complete weekly grid for Master Control
  • Maintain season tickets grids for Cardinals and Blues sporting events to account for client entertainment
  • Handle telephone inquiries from viewers



Education / Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma (college preferred) or equivalent related experience.
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of clerical experience in a similar position or as administrative assistant.
  • Basic understanding of media technology
  • Confidence in collaborating with multiple people and teams
  • Attend and participate in any company training seminars, meetings or other attendance required events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate typing skills with solid spelling, punctuation and grammatical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Wide Orbit Traffic and Sales is a plus
  • Comply with all Station and Department policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
