The Position

As an Intern in Communications, you will play a vital role in supporting the communication efforts for Roche Pharma Switzerland (the affiliate of Roche Pharma in Switzerland). You will work closely with the communications team to help create and distribute compelling content, manage internal and external communications channels, and assist in executing various communication strategies.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation: Assist in developing engaging content for various communication channels, including social media platforms, company website, newsletters, and press releases. This may involve conducting research, writing articles, and editing content to ensure accuracy and consistency.

2. Social Media Management: Support the management of social media accounts by creating posts, monitoring engagement, and helping to respond to comments or inquiries. Help analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and provide insights for improvement.

3. Internal Communications: Contribute to internal communication efforts by assisting in the development and distribution of company-wide announcements, newsletters, and updates. Help maintain an overview of all internal communications and assist in organizing employee events or initiatives.

4. Branding and Messaging: Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all communication materials. Help develop key messages and ensure they are effectively conveyed in various communication channels. 

5. Analytics and Reporting: Assist in tracking and analyzing communication metrics, such as website traffic, social media engagement, and media coverage. Help create reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Currently in the process of completing a Bachelor's Master's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business administration, economics or a related field, or have just completed such a degree.

2. Excellent Written and Verbal Communication: Strong writing and editing skills in German AND English, with attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner.

3. Creativity and Storytelling: Ability and interest to create compelling content and tell engaging stories. Familiarity with various writing styles and the ability to adapt the tone and style to different audiences.

4. Digital and Social Media Savvy: Proficiency in using social media platforms, content management systems, and digital communication tools. Understanding of social media best practices and trends.

5. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders, including media contacts.

6. Organization and Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively. Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

7. Adaptability and Enthusiasm: Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Open to feedback and able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Non-EU/EFTA students - due to legal regulations: You must enclose confirmation from the university with your application documents, that a compulsory internship is part of your education. You must also be enrolled for the entire duration of the internship.
