As a Frontend Global Planning Senior Manager (Strategic Planning / Modeling), you will be a leader in the global planning team with team members supporting all Frontend fabs in Asia and US.

In this role, you will be leading a team primarily responsible for the Long-range strategic output and capital plan for Frontend Fabs. Partnering key stakeholders to understand market forecast, technology roadmaps and managing critical planning and strategic parameters to develop long term scenario options. These scenario options will be reviewed and presented to the senior executive to guide strategic decisions and be adopted as the long-range strategic plan.

You will need to manage the inception of each plan, from an initial concept, design of scenario studies based on objectives and wide range of inputs, collaboration with finance to quantify business benefits of various scenarios to leading discussion and review processes with senior leaders. As part of continuous improvement on forecasting, you will also be responsible to create model and guidelines for scenario studies in network to strive for stretched capability and meet the excellence of cost, Gb and wafers out.

A high level of business acumen, accurate design, and tracking of projects to predict results and outcomes is critical to success. Analysis of project progress in terms of root cause analysis, pay-back assessment, risk, resources consumption, interdependencies and gaps are also key functions of the position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing your organization and developing your team; build up, train and enable the collaboration across all stakeholders including but not limited to corporate strategy team, supply chain, finance, Fab and other central teams.
  • Long term output, capex and manufacturing footprint planning that supports the business
  • Provide analysis and scenario options for long term plans
  • Provide global optimization options and what-if scenario analyses
  • Provide planning and integration support for emerging projects around current capacity, merger and acquisition, where required.
  • Greenfield planning
  • Develop capital options to achieve fiscal year budget targets
  • Integration of the long term plans into mid-term business plan
  • Development of scenario modeling parameters and methodology to meet the excellence of cost, Gb and wafers out.

Job requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the worldwide factory network functions.
  • Fab Process Knowledge.
  • Good personnel and resource management skills.
  • Good personnel development and mentoring skills.
  • Effective communication through multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Planning systems, applications, computer and Microsoft office skills.
  • Understanding of existing CoO and NPV tools and templates without guidance for complex situations. 
  • Must currently be in a role or recently held a role that was responsible for managing a planning or manufacturing department.
  • The ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer focus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and practical application of statistics, data analysis and problem solving.
