What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated EHS Technician to support the Cybercab program from SOP through ramp-up. This role will be critical in ensuring safety readiness, startup validation, and ramp stabilization within Tesla’s innovative unboxed manufacturing process.
The position requires strong field engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage evolving risks in a fast-paced, high-growth production environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and driven to build a strong safety culture while supporting rapid operational scaling.
What You'll Do
Own day-to-day EHS performance in assigned production areas during ramp and steady state
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (JHA, process hazards, equipment safety) and drive mitigation actions
Implement and verify critical safety controls, including LOTO, machine safety, and energy isolation programs
Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and EHS programs to support safe launch, ramp-up, and process changes
Perform audits and inspections, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are completed on time
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective and sustainable corrective actions
Support EHS risk management in dynamic environments with concurrent production, installation, and modifications
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years work experience as an environmental, health or safety professional, preferably in a manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, mining, heavy chemical industry, oil & gas, construction, or similar workplace
Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 / 1926
Experience with hazard identification and risk mitigation
Familiarity with LOTO or machine safety
Ability to work in fast-paced environments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
