A great opportunity for an experienced Software Development Manager to join our team based in Umeå.

Are you a Tech Lead or Developer? Or perhaps working as a Tester or Quality person within a regulated environment and looking to take the next step in your career?

If so, this is a great opportunity for a Software Development Manager, who enjoys being hands on when it comes to contributing to the team as well as to develop people. You will be managing a close-knit and agile software development team who are good at organising themselves. You will also contribute to product development of our data analytics solution Umetrics Suite.

This position is based on site in Umea.

What will you accomplish together with us

  • Leading, managing, and coaching a team of software developers, testers, and support engineers
  • Develop the team both personally and professionally
  • Contribute to daily project work and support the team in achieving agreed goals
  • Continuous improvement of team dynamic, and output as well as technologies, processes and tools that are used
  • Support customer audits for our software products and provide the necessary development process documentation
  • Contributing to our software roadmap and plan budget, resources and involved in recruitment of team members as needed

What will convince us

  • Master’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent
  • Strong work experience in software development and/or project management
  • Strong coaching leadership style experience
  • Experience in supporting internal and external audits
  • Experience in process documentation
  • Experience languages such as C++, .Net, JavaScript, React or Python may be beneficial
  • Knowledge in agile methods for software development
  • Knowledge about data analytics would be beneficial
  • Self – motivated team player with excellent communication skills and networking skills
  • Fluent in English
