Senior Brand Manager – Felix and Bakers Treats 

Location: Gatwick - (Hybrid working - office days 2/3 times a week) 

Salary up to £52,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + car allowance + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary 

The Nestlé Purina Pet Care Team a fantastic opening for a Senior Brand Manager to join their team who will report directly into the Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for defining & implementing the UK short term (annual) brand plans to deliver agreed business results & influence key stakeholders. You will also ensure long term EMENA brand priorities, innovation pipeline and brand communication content are fit to win and excel in the UK market.

A day in the life of a Senior Brand Manager 

As a Senior Brand Manager in Purina, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the UK 3-year portfolio plan for the relevant brand and sub-category in line with strategic guidance set by the EMENA Principal. You will follow central guidance on brand strategy and product portfolio whilst contributing to that strategy through ICP/Cluster process and by providing Principal with local insight. As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be a key member of the UK marketing team in ensuring the execution of annual brand / portfolio targets. You will also: 

  • Ensure marketing messaging is consistent with Nestlé Group Guidance and in-line with Purina EMENA 
  • strategy 
  • Ensure communication plans and resource allocation is aligned to strategic guidance set by the Principal 
  • Ensure PFME is planned against EMENA strategic priorities and managed effectively and efficiently, 

driving focus on working media and avoiding the creation of local intangibles 

  • Ensures any new third-party relationships are established in-line with Nestle Procurement guidelines 
  • Ensures relationships with key media and creative partners are healthy and productive 
  • Ensure digital and social is embedded in brand / portfolio communication plans 
  • Support the development of direct team members and enable development of indirect team members 
  • Inspires the functions around brand / portfolio to keep people motivated and high performing 
  • Co-ordinates local commercial stakeholders to ensure aligned input into the brand clusters & EMENA MLT 
  • Play an active role in the brand marketing team to drive synergies across the teams 
  • Engage with all other internal and external stakeholders managing all subjects related to the brand and category 
  • Support building Purina as an aspirational place to work for marketing professionals 

What will make you successful 

The successful candidate will bring with them a wealth of experience in Marketing operating as a Senior Brand Manager currently or looking to develop from a Brand Manager position. They will have successfully delivered on brand building KPIs and was as had experience in managing complex cross functional project teams. They will be a strong team player with the ability to build and grow networks, influence and inspire. They will be at ease and confident working with cross functional, cross-cultural teams and in dealing with senior management. 

They will also: 

  • Have had experience being an active player within a matrix organisation and business/project multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Have the ability to credibly communicate with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • Have a mature and pragmatic approach 
  • Have a broad interest in sustainability 
  • Have excellent presentation skills 
  • Have had experience in managing portfolio PFME
