Senior Product Marketing Manager - Consumer Subscription Engagement

The Consumer Marketing Subscriber Engagement and Retention team plays an influential role in evolving the product and empowering growth for Microsoft’s consumer subscription businesses, Microsoft 365, and Copilot Pro, by nurturing, retaining, and growing the subscriber base.

Come help shape the way we nurture and engage, our consumer to adopt and use Microsoft 365 and Copilot Pro premium features.

In this Senior Product Marketing Manager - Consumer Subscription Engagement role, you will use data and user insights to learn about the motivations of our subscribers to understand their productivity, creativity storage, and security needs and how AI-powered assistance with Microsoft Copilot can maximize their potential. Then you’ll get creative to design experiments, campaigns, and experiences that inspire users to act and encourage subscribers to adopt and use premium feature in their subscription. You’ll share your learnings broadly with peers and executives, and shape plans that drive critical business impact.

With the customer always in mind, you will use growth marketing techniques and data-driven approach to analyze customer insight and user journeys, identify opportunities to promote impact and delight customers. You will partner across go-to-market, finance, research, data science, and engineering teams to devise, design and land innovative experiments, investments and programs that move the needle on customer experience, and on the business.

  • Using user research and subscriber usage data, develop a profound understanding of subscriber needs to uncover compelling consumer scenarios and insights.
  • Analyze product funnels, behavioral data, and renewal dynamics to identify, size and prioritize opportunities to increase feature adoption and usage in order to reduce churn and promote customer satisfaction.
  • Influence product team to execute customer experiences that inspire engagement
  • Develop subscriber engagement communications and experiences that help users learn about and adopt high value actions that embrace subscriber renewal
  • Influence the subscriber’s lifecycle experience from initial purchase to renewal by analyzing funnels, end-to-end user journeys, market research and user feedback.
  • Present and share ideas, progress, and experiment results with leaders in business reviews.
  • Propose thoughtful investments for short and longer-term growth, influencing partner teams and driving execution to land these opportunities.
  • Propose and align on OKRs and targets with partner teams.
  • Thoroughly understand performance and motivate to educate stakeholders and provide regular insight on progress toward KRs and broader business goals.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience in growth and life cycle marketing.
  • Experience in product marketing for consumer subscription. 

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
