Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and schematics.
  • Assemble, install, and modify electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery to secure and assemble parts.
  • Install finished assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
  • Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware to products.
  • Perform functional, continuity, startup, and operational testing on completed assemblies and systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems, identify issues, and make necessary repairs or corrections.
  • Prioritize work activities to support production schedules when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all NOV safety policies, procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of assembly and/or mechanical experience required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Ability to learn new processes and apply knowledge on the job.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to work at heights and wear fall protection equipment when working above 4 feet.

Work Environment

  • Works primarily in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Regular exposure to loud noise levels.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • May be exposed to hot and cold temperatures depending on seasonal and warehouse conditions.
  • Limited travel may be required.

Preferred Certifications and Equipment Experience

  • Experience operating JIB and overhead cranes preferred.
  • Experience operating Class II and Class IV forklifts (Order Picker and Hyster 50–170) preferred.
  • Experience working with fall protection systems preferred.
