We are looking for a marketing pro to drive our acquisition campaigns through Organic Search, PPC, Affiliate marketing and Paid Social activities. The successful candidate should be a solid SEM and Lead Generation expert, who loves crafting and managing cutting-edge marketing campaigns, whilst championing performance analytics on a day-to-day basis. The role reports to the Marketing Operations Director and entails the strategy and management of our Lead Generation channels. Your main priorities will be to ensure implementation and management of our SEO, PPC and Affiliate Programme whilst providing a comprehensive overview of ALU’s new acquisition channels. You will be required to deliver detailed and regular campaign reporting on all acquisition activity to stakeholders on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in forming effective lead generation and new user acquisition strategies
  • Supporting the onboarding of new Acquisition tools and processes, including implementation and daily management of SEM (including organic and paid), Affiliate and Paid Social platforms and marketing campaigns
  • Overseeing and optimising advertising accounts and campaigns on Search, Affiliate and Social Media (e.g. Google AdWords, Bing, Facebook Ads, etc)
  • Conducting keyword research to guide content teams and implement successful SEO, PPC and publisher campaigns
  • Optimizing website content, landing pages for organic rankings, conversions and paid media
  • Reviewing on-site technical SEO issues, recommending and implementing fixes
  • Monitoring paid media budget. Optimising targeting, bids
  • Tracking organic search and paid media KPIs to manage campaign and channel performance
  • Producing reports for management (e.g. dashboards, weekly, monthly decks)
  • End to end, full accountability for advertising goals and metrics including ROI, CPA and others
  • Acquiring and managing new publisher and affiliate relations
  • Maintaining partnerships with freelancers,  PPC, bid-management, social ad platforms and affiliate vendors
  • Keeping abreast of SEO, PPC and SEM trends

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience, or equivalent expertise in SEO, PPC &  Display, Paid Social
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to build and generate reports from marketing platforms to support marketing and sales needs. We make data-driven decisions and expect a high degree of comfort with numbers
  • Process-driven but yet flexible and creative, with the ability to drive campaigns independently based on briefs
  • Experience working in an agile company environment where employees are expected to lead from the front with integrity
  • Ability to perform under pressure and cope with tight deadlines
  • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong passion to succeed, contagious energy and desire to have fun in the process

TECHNOLOGY PROFICIENCY

MUST-HAVES

  • High Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Search Console and Keyword tools
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies such as HTML, Javascript languages, Cookies, Pixels, etc.
  • Proficiency in a minimum of 1 of the following SEM tools: SEMrush, Majestic, MOZ, Optimizely, Serpstat
  • Intermediate understanding of Google Analytics, Adobe Suite and Excel (e.g. pivot tables, creating charts, VLOOKUPS)l

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Affiliate platforms such as CJ, TradeDoubler, Rakuten, Affiliate Window, etc
  • Proficiency in one or more bid management platforms such as Kenshoo, Marin, AdCore,  etc
  • Proficiency with Tag managers such as Google Tags, Tealium
  • Experience with attribution modeling

LOCATION: You will be based in the beautiful Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, with periodic opportunities to travel across Africa and globally.
