We are ramping-up our Device and Data Management R&D for Ericsson IoT Accelerator. The role in a nutshell

 

We are building Device and Data Management (DDM) services for Ericsson IoT Accelerator. Our solution serves as an intelligent platform for a range of verticals such as Industrial IoT, Urban Transport, Logistics and Smart Metering. We are growing rapidly and hence looking for highly motivated senior software development pioneers to join our teams.

 

As part of this role you will be developing templates, recipes and scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions. You will also be required to specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Additionally, it is expected that you will be able to provide technical leadership to other software developers in a “lead by example” manner. To put it simply, we expect you to take a prominent role in defining the DDM service as well as to have a coaching mindset to bring out the best in people around you.

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong DevOps background and understanding of infrastructure architecture and application stack
  • Hands-on experience related to hosting enterprise software in external data center or a public cloud (Amazon, Azure).
  • Deep knowledge of design patterns: Be able to evaluate tradeoffs in various architectural choices
  • Excellent communication skills to work with geographically distributed teams
  • Experience with enterprise configurations such as networking, load balancing, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, interoperability setup, multi platforms & databases, tuning.
  • Knowledge of “testing in production”: traffic shifting, canary release, A/B testing, etc.
  • Experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
  • Experience in delivering software continuously

 

Software technologies (one or more of):

  • Solid experience with one of container orchestration - Google Kubernetes/ RedHat OpenShift/ Container (Docker)
  • Familiarity with open source configuration tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet, or CF Engine
  • Extensive knowledge in different programming or scripting languages (Shell, Python, PowerShell, Java, C# etc.)
  • Working with databases (SQL, NOSQL, Time-Series, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more configuration management software: Ansible / Chef / Puppet / Salt etc. Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus
  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash etc.
  • Experience with dashboards like Kibana, Grafana etc.

 

Bonus:

  • Some understanding of application security as well as network security
  • Hands- on experience in multi-cloud technologies such as CloudFoundry etc.
  • Working with RESTful design and popular HTTP clients
  • Knowledge of open source projects for the domain (Experience in contributing to any open source projects a plus)
