Technical Support Engineer in Broadcast Service Operations

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Engineer will be part of our Broadcast Technical Support and Engineering team and will work with different broadcast and ICT development, support and maintenance activities.


The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive broadcast support and maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level Operations. This shall ensure that the services provided to our customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels. Work will be partly in 1st line supporting customer during live events (e.g. News and Sports) during evenings and weekends.

  •    System maintenance and technical documentation
  •     2nd Level Assurance Support Activities
  •     2nd Level Incident Management
  •     Problem Management
  •     System Administration

Key Qualifications:

  •     Good knowledge of Broadcast Operations
  •     ICT Knowledge in broadcasting
  •     Work experience on broadcast and ICT equipment and systems
  •     Knowledge and experience of technically supporting TV productions
  •     Fluent in Finnish language (facing Finnish speaking customer)

Additional Requirements:

  •     Experience on broadcast and ICT equipment and systems (Windows and Linux environments)
  •     Experience on video and streaming services and CDN environments
  •     Experience on graphics area, e.g. live and 3D graphics
  •     Knowledge of post-production, e.g Media Composer and Interplay
  •     Knowledge of live sport production
  •     Experience on programming (e.g. vbscript, javascript, sql) and web technology
  •     Knowledge of virtualization environment
  •     Experience on Autocad
  •     Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  •     Good communication skills, English skills
  •     Social skills and awareness
