Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Payroll and related HR tasks for assigned markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Carrying out full-scale payroll tasks – focused on Croatian, Slovenian and Romanian payrolls.
  • Partner with the external payroll provider, ensuring monthly payroll admin/data is provided accurately and on time. 
  • Liaise with payroll vendor to ensure income tax is properly calculated. 
  • Ensure payroll report from payroll vendor is correct and execute salary pay out via bank transfer 
  • Knowledge of different employment methods 
  • Administration related to the establishment and termination of employment. 
  • Keeping payroll related labor records 
  • Processing working time data for monthly payroll 
  • First point of contact for payroll and admin matters, escalating to HRBP where necessary 
  • Issuance of employer and other payroll related certificates 
  • Keep systems, i.e. SAP & payroll, updated with associate information & changes 
  • Generate a variety of reports as requested by NIQ, finance and other business leaders and interpret as necessary 
  • Labor statistics 
  • Assist in administration of benefit programs 
  • Assist in the daily running of the department providing information and dealing with enquiries 

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in HR, related to Payroll activities.
  • Experience working in HR Shared Services Hub 
  • University degree in HR, Economics or related.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken
  • Second Eastern European language will be considered as advantage.
  • Interest in working with numbers/data.
  • Strong analytical thinking
  • Accurate and reliable working attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
