As a Chef de Partie at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen with precision and passion. Working with a world-class culinary team, you will ensure the preparation, presentation, and consistency of all food items meets the highest standards expected at a Waldorf Astoria resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section.
- Assist in the development of menus and daily specials, contributing ideas and creativity.
- Maintain the highest hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
- Train, mentor and supervise Commis Chefs and other junior kitchen staff.
- Ensure that mise-en-place is prepared and maintained for your section.
- Work closely with the Sous Chef to maintain consistency and quality across all outlets.
- Collaborate with the broader culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment and areas.
- Uphold Hilton’s values and brand standards in every task.
Qualifications:
- Formal culinary training and relevant certifications.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury or high-end hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of international cuisine, with exposure to Mediterranean and island-style cooking being an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; French or Creole is a plus.
