As a Chef de Partie at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen with precision and passion. Working with a world-class culinary team, you will ensure the preparation, presentation, and consistency of all food items meets the highest standards expected at a Waldorf Astoria resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your section.
  • Assist in the development of menus and daily specials, contributing ideas and creativity.
  • Maintain the highest hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Train, mentor and supervise Commis Chefs and other junior kitchen staff.
  • Ensure that mise-en-place is prepared and maintained for your section.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to maintain consistency and quality across all outlets.
  • Collaborate with the broader culinary and service teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen equipment and areas.
  • Uphold Hilton’s values and brand standards in every task.

Qualifications:

  • Formal culinary training and relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine, with exposure to Mediterranean and island-style cooking being an advantage.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English; French or Creole is a plus.
