What To Expect

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support, and manage a team of Technicians and Non-Conforming Materials Associates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership capabilities that can manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time. This leader will build a team that can work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments, in leading Process and Non-Conforming Material initiatives.

What You'll Do

Work with Engineering and Production team, understand the product, process, quality control plan

Lead Process Technicians and Production team on process issues analysis and problem solving

Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire rework process and support no defects escaping the Non-Conforming Material area

Support training and coaching of Process Technicians and Associates

Set up work plan and priorities to the team based on business plan and needs

Management of team includes proactively planning for labor needs in light of production ramp up, communicating job expectations, performing employee performance and objectives reviews, and managing team in alignment of company policies and procedures

Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

What You'll Bring

Strong organization and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail to maintain team accountability

Ability to work and lead effectively with team and peers within a Production and Engineering organization

Enthusiastic, innovative, and take-charge attitude. This candidate is able to work independently and set the team’s priorities based on competing and urgent needs of the business

Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for both learning systems quickly and teaching them to others

Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills; able to interface with executives and leaders on a daily basis

Ability to a flexible shift, including nights and weekend, if necessary

Technical school or equivalent work experience
