Senior Manager, Online Marketing

The Variable Marketing team is looking to hire an analytically-geared Senior Manager, Online Marketing. This position will manage online marketing channels and creative development for the Zappos website, mobile app, and new marketplaces/sales channels.

Our ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with experience managing large-scale online marketing programs as well as creative development. This role has responsibility for both strategy and execution, and as such, the successful candidate will be hands on, innovative, and have a passion for ecommerce.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and drive strategy, in partnership with senior leadership, to drive traffic, sales, and new customer acquisition for Zappos.com and the Zappos mobile app.
  • Oversee the development and execution of large-scale marketing initiatives.
  • Support development of new ecommerce marketplaces and sales channels.
  • Manage display marketing channels, including social ads and retargeting channels, ensuring that ROAS and new customer CPA goals are met.
  • Manage mobile app marketing program, including app download and push campaigns, ensuring that customer acquisition and reengagement goals are met.
  • Define and report on appropriate success metrics for marketing channels and initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 8+ years of experience working in online marketing or ecommerce.
  • Experience managing online marketing channels (e.g. paid search, social, email)
  • Deep understanding of online marketing strategies, channels, and measurement.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to focus sharply on driving incremental value.
  • Proven ability to build effective marketing campaigns, including creative development.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
