Overview of the role

We seek an innovative HR Data Scientist to join our team and revolutionize our Human Resources strategies through data-driven insights. This role combines the art of problem-solving, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling to enhance our employee experience, streamline HR operations, and inform strategic decision-making. As an HR Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of transforming our Human Resources management through data-driven insights and analytics. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your expertise in data science, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to uncover trends, predict outcomes, and inform strategic decisions that enhance employee experience and organizational efficiency. Working closely with HR professionals and business leaders, you will translate complex data sets into actionable insights, driving improvements in talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations. This position offers the unique opportunity to leverage your analytical skills to impact HR policies and practices, contributing to a more data-informed and effective workplace.

What you will do

  • Develop and apply advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics to analyse HR data, identifying trends, and predicting future outcomes related to workforce dynamics.
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable insights for HR and management teams, aiding in decision-making processes regarding talent management, recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Design, implement, and analyse employee surveys to gauge satisfaction, engagement, and organisational culture, making recommendations based on findings.
  • Create dynamic reports and dashboards using data visualisation tools, providing clear, actionable insights into HR metrics and performance indicators.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, and business units to understand their data needs and provide analytical solutions that support HR objectives and overall business strategies.
  • Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and compliance of HR data, adhering to legal and company standards regarding data privacy and protection.

What equips you for the role

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, preferably in an HR context, with a solid track record of applying data science methods to real-world HR challenges.
  • Strong skills in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning algorithms. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R and experience with SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Familiarity with HR processes, practices, and metrics; experience in applying data science techniques to solve HR problems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends and patterns, and derive insights that can translate into actionable HR strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Degrees in Data Science and HR Management or related fields.
  • Certifications in data science, predictive analytics, or related areas.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and familiarity with HR analytics platforms.
