About the Role:

We are looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer with a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI), Data Visualizations, and Analytics. In this high-impact role within Gen's Central Data Office (CDO), you will drive standardization, consistency, and best practices in creating actionable reports and insights, enabling better and faster decision-making at Gen.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Design: Take charge of the UI/UX design for our BI solutions, creating interfaces that offer a seamless user experience across platforms and devices (web and mobile)
  • Design Standardization: Implement design guidelines to achieve uniformity and consistency across various data products from BI platforms like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including BI End Users, Analysts, and Developers, to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Wireframes to Prototypes: Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to clearly convey design intentions to stakeholders.
  • Data Visualization: Design and recommend data visualizations that convey complex information in an easy-to-understand way, aligning with best practices to enable actionable reporting.
  • User Feedback and Iteration: Use user feedback and metrics to make informed design decisions, focusing on customer-centricity, intuitiveness, standardization, and time to insight.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 6+ years of professional UI/UX design experience, particularly in BI, data visualization, and analytics.
  • Proven track record in leading the design of complex, data-driven applications.
  • Expertise in design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to design interfaces that emphasize customer-centricity, intuitiveness, standardization, and consistency.
