The North America Marketing team is looking for the ultimate team player to support Marketing nationally in Media Planning and Content Marketing.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in analyzing data, thinking creatively, and working strategically.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a media planning process making media bookings trackable, financially and by seasonal roadmap
  • Research paid media partners and target audience behavior; identify the best mix of media channels to deliver messages to the target audiences
  • Negotiate to obtain the best advertising rates; maintain budgets
  • Drive campaign execution; create briefs for marketing assets and deliver on time to partners
  • Represent HARMAN Professional North America in person and over the phone for media inquiries
  • Leverage assets from global Marketing Communications team (videos, whitepapers, blog posts, etc.) to drive awareness and lead generation through paid and owned media; develop editorial calendar
  • Closely monitor campaign effectiveness; drive ongoing optimization in response to data
  • Support various internal marketing communication activities, including weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on program effectiveness and spend, as well as presentations and planning for internal company meetings


Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in marketing/media planning, preferably for AV or technology products
  • Experienced in project management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team, with the ability to drive production and meet deadlines
  • Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
