Essential Responsibilities

The position of Contracts Administrator requires a solid understanding of Firm Fixed Price Contracts and of the Cost Reimbursement contracts, as described in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) for working with the US Government and prime contractors.

In addition, as Contracts Administrator, you will:

Minimum of 4 years of contract formation and execution experience is necessary for this position
Act as primary interface between GE and assigned customers on all contractual matters
Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including regular contact with customers, leading negotiations, and assisting with contract interpretation
Interface with Manufacturing, Program Management, Finance, Sales, Engineering, Legal and other internal functions
Perform proposal, negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with some supervision
Provide support to managers and senior contract personnel on assigned contracts
May perform team leader responsibilities for special projects
Provide interface liaison with functional organizations and ensure proper communication of contractual requirements
Review processes to ensure overall efficiency

Role Summary/Purpose

The Contracts Administrator is an individual contributor that learns to develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In the role, of Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for work that is defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the ability to affect short term and some long-term business goals.


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a contracts, sales, or legal role

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.  GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Ability to travel as required, approximately 10%
