The Head of Cards Sales & Distribution has overall responsibility for Taiwan Cards and PCL sales business, including driving strategic direction and growth, profitability and performance, to ensure that business objectives are met and that a clear strategy is developed and communicated.
Duties will include:
  • Planning and execution of the Cards & Loan Sales & Distribution business strategy which includes key sales and distribution channels –Direct Sales, Telesales, Branches, and Third Party.
  • Oversee and lead actions to optimize all channels to drive acquisition and achieve customer service targets.
  • Responsibility for the overall Cards, PCL/UPL Sales & Insurance TM sales
  • Responsibility for managing the overall S&D expenses and ensuring adequate P&L returns
  • Responsible for providing seamless customer experience across all channels. In this capacity, the role is a strong contributor towards achieving customer and employee NPS targets.
  • Responsible for driving the right ethical culture with adequate controls in the sales force
P&L and Balance Sheet Responsibility:
  • Full sales and associated P&L responsibility for Credit Cards, Loan Sales  & Insurance TM sold by the S&D team
  • Manage all key business drivers such as Expenses, Revenues, Headcount and Customer Service NPS
  • Proactively co-ordinate initiatives to close any gaps to Plan
  • Set the strategic direction for the business in terms of channel optimization and other business development actions. This will involve close partnership with key product owners on product-specific strategies via each channel.
  • Innovate and oversee the optimization of all channels to achieve acquisition targets.
  • In partnership with product owners, grow market share through innovation and delivery of product and service to meet the needs of the target market.
  • Work closely with product groups to distribute products in the most efficient way through the best channels and ensure distribution channels are optimized (including measuring returns and profitability of all channels).
Day-to-Day Business Management :
  • Manage key drivers such as acquisition of new accounts and NPS.
  • Develop and co-ordinate execution of the business plan through the senior management team.
  • Ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Embed a strong customer service culture.
People Management :
  • Build a high-performing team by leading and coaching direct reports to be able to achieve the business objectives.
  • Ensure the appropriate skills and experience is developed within the business to promote career development and growth.
  • Develop leadership skills of direct reports through both training and challenging on-the job assignments.
  • Develop talent sourcing channels with consumer business partners locally and regionally. Promote a positive and committed team environment to underpin strong employee engagement.

  • Bachelor degree in Business/ Finance/ Commerce with at least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and services, and financial markets
  • Significant experience in sales and distribution within the financial services industry with demonstrated success driving sales acquisition via a diverse network of branches and other channels.
  • Track record in delivering results – recognized for strong execution skills
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work with and influence a diverse and senior team of business leaders
  • Excellent client skills and strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage in a matrix environment
  • Results driven with strong drive and finely tuned business judgement
