Position Overview:

The SAP Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC) administrator is responsible for maintaining the financial models, security and all system roles. Partnering with Finance, IT and other stakeholders, the role assesses finance system process issues, identifies improvements, and implements new solutions.

As a member of the Performance Insights Project, you will provide technical and financial expertise and guidance for the development, enhancement and maintenance of SAP’s BPC system in an effort to improve operational efficiency within Finance. You will assess system impacts and linkages required to support new product development, policies, and services and ensure efficient and effective processing of all financial transactions. You will also participate and occasionally lead cross-functional project teams to improve the organization’s financial performance and operations.

  

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain user BPC documentation (e.g. inputs sheets, reports, templates, etc.) for system users, and provide training on SAP BPC software to system stakeholders
  • Work as a resource to roll out new BPC functionality, enhancements, and improvements for financial reporting
  • Develop, enhance and maintain operational and ad-hoc reports and input forms within BPC
  • Train new and existing users on current and new functionality
  • Troubleshoot transactional data discrepancies
  • Use BPC data to provide high quality analysis support to users
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports to executive committee
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements 
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate with client stakeholders, work closely in a collaborative team environment, and project deliverables
  • Self-starting, flexible and responsive; able to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks/assignments within specified deadlines
  • Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, as well as internal and external customers
  • All BPC/EPM web client functions (security, work status, Business Process Flows, Business Rules, etc.)
  • Full understanding of the EPM add-in, report/input building, EPM functions, and the EPM formatting sheet
  • BPC Data Manager, its usage and maintenance
  • SAP GUI interface in relation to BPC functions

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ability to provide direction/advice as needed with end users
  • Ability to translate business needs into BPC solutions
  • Ability to communicate BPC technical matter in business terminology
  • Experienced in governance, controls, process and procedures, master data management, and information integrity
  • Skilled in report writing/financial modeling in SAP BPC/EPM
  • Skilled in input template development and maintenance
  • Ability to lead or manage a project as well as be able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer and Information Sciences, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Strong financial systems background and expertise – 4 years
  • Financial Systems experience with SAP Data warehouse and forecasting tools SAP BPC
  • SAP FI/CO, BPC implementation experience
  • SAP BW/BO super user level experience
  • IT system project or process improvement project leadership experience.
  • Experience in large scale change initiatives
  • Ability to travel
