This
position is for a Deployment Team Member in support of the United States Air
Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The
candidate must demonstrate applicable skill level and experience in
Industrial Control System (ICS) networks, to include Network Engineering, and
Cybersecurity. This position is responsible for deploying with small teams to
CONUS and OCONUS locations to survey, assess, and install cybersecurity
solutions for Air Force ICS.  Specific
work to be performed includes the following:

  • Deploy with small teams on site survey and installation
    trips to CONUS and OCONUS Air Force locations
  • Assist with coordination with base commanders and multiple
    base organizations, to include Comms Squadrons and others
  • Research, provide recommended solutions and/or resolve
    questions, issues, and risks
  • Gather, consolidate, and write documentation for each site
    visit for delivery to the Government
  • Have a thorough understanding of:
    • Strong knowledge of the OSI model with specific focus on
      layer 1-4. Layers 5-7 is a bonus.
    • Working knowledge of 802.1X-based network access controls
      (Cisco ISE, Forescout CounterACT a plus)
    • Working knowledge of firewalls/proxies a plus (juniper,
      Palo Aalto, ASA)
    • Strong familiarity with (one or more) network vendors
      (Juniper, Cisco, Avaya, Brocade, etc.) routing and switching methods
    • Layer 3 routing protocols- deployment
    • Scripting to automate tasks
    • MPLSSupport working group meetings across multiple
      organizations.
  • Assist with writing of meeting minutes & actions items
    following each meeting and provide recommended action to the Government
    Program Management team
  •   Assist with coordination with multiple organizations to address system
    issues
  • Provide inputs and recommendations to the Integrated Master
    Schedule (IMS).
  • Provide relevant input to upgrades, modifications,
    acquisition strategies, and cost estimations
  • Provide relevant input to planning activities,
    installations, upgrades, modifications, and studies
  • Assist with preparation of briefings, reports,
    informational analyses in support of AFCEC
  • Perform records management of deliverables and
    documentation
  • Perform and close internal and external taskers associated
    with the execution of AFCEC CE/CS activities
  • Extensive travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations

•    Ensure adherence to Government policies,
master plans and schedules, and develops solutions to      

       program problems
•    Travel requirement: Approximately 75%

Education/Certifications: BS
and 9 years’ experience

ITIL V3 intermediate
certification

Certifications from
Juniper, Avaya, Brocade, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCCA, JNCCP, ACSS) a plus

Security
certifications (CEH, CISSP, CISM) or Security+ at a minimum

Desired:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2007 Server, Microsoft
Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP/Vista operating systems (OS)
administration and associated hardware

Working knowledge of
Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data
backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration.
Working knowledge of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint
DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common
Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to C&A for Legacy
systems. Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL1 & PL2
systems; experience with PL3 & PL4 cross domain solutions desired. Must
be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD
Manuals and other guiding policy documents.

Must
have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with
numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners. Working
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Possess a high
degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and
ground transportation). Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
