Our Engineer:

  • Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybridcloud, and/or onprem deployment models.
  • Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software.
  • May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
  • May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Visual Solutions is the concept of a full SW stack for video and picture production, processing and transmitting. It is Intel HW-based capability as a response to the challenges and needs of future cloud and edge infrastructures in the audio/video domain.

Visual Solutions (within NEX/NEX Software/Solution Engineering Division) is hiring in Poland.

We are searching for motivated, inspired, full of-energy SW and FW developers, validation engineers, DevOps. We focus our work across the SW stacks, including low-level programming and enabling Intel visual computing HW like GPU and CPU IP (accelerators), thru middleware, and library development, ending in full cloud-native orchestration SW (k8s). Mainly within Linux, but also Android and MS Windows.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Software development skills, preferably in go language and python is valuable add-in.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Docker / Kubernets / OpenStack)
  • Hands on experience with Linux OS and TCP/IP networking
  • Hands-on experience in using source control systems i.e. Git

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Proposing constant improvements to reference implementations in both areas S/W and H/W
  • Designing, executing and analyzing software and hardware architecture performance, capacity, and other tests results
  • Identifying and proposing solutions for reference implementation H/W and S/W bottlenecks
  • Collaborating with other Intel departments to determine best solution
  • Willingness to push the technology envelope and take risks

Experience in any of the listed areas will be considered as valuable asset

  • Familiarity of the SQL (e.g. MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Familiarity with configuration management software i.e. Ansible
