About the Role:

This role is part of the Global eCommerce Capabilities Team.

Ecommerce Emerging Models Manager is a strategic role within the organisation, aiming to shape the present and future of eCommerce in Kraft Heinz. In the last 3-4 years, the eCommerce channel has been experiencing significant growth driven by changing consumer preferences and changes in the industry landscape. Increased demand of Online Food/Grocery Ordering via delivery platforms, significant expansion of Virtual Kitchens/concepts, possibilities to build a direct relationship with end consumers via DTC and increased online ordering patterns by restaurants/retailers (eB2B) require KHC to increase focus, build a clear strategy for IZ and set concrete plans to ensure growth and expansion in the sector.

The eCommerce emerging models manager will be responsible for charting out the future of KHC’s strategy, focus and approach towards emerging channels such as eComm in our Away From Home channel, Direct-To-Consumer and eB2B channels.

Responsibilities/expectations:

  • Setting the Strategy: Building the right channel strategy for AFH eCommerce, DTC, eB2B channels
  • Strategy alignment & implementation across the zone: Cascading strategy to all markets & ensuring plans are in place for implementation
  • Market & Channel prioritisation: Prioritise markets for each emerging channel and evaluate channels based on value it adds to the overall business and support prioritization of the channel
  • Cross Functional collaboration: Creating synergies & ways of working with both local market teams and global functional teams
  • Working Closely with market eComm leaders and MDs for plan & execution alignment
  • Creating New initiatives and new RTM via eComm channel – explore new digital opportunities (new trends, new RTMs, new customer partnerships), build business cases to support the value of these initiatives, gain cross-functional support and drive the initiatives
  • Support local market teams to conduct monthly reviews for the channel and in the process setting them up for success in the emerging channels
  • Agility - Test & Learn initiatives in conjunction with market teams, and build plans to scale successful initiatives across Kraft Heinz
  • Lead & Inspire: Lead and manage virtual sessions focusing on best practice sharing across Global KH teams
  • Build and Develop Global partnerships with global delivery platforms, eB2B operators/marketplaces, etc
  • Introducing new technologies and platforms that could transform the ways of working and improve data collection and unlock growth in emerging eComm channels. Part of this role is to work with technology providers for DTC, evaluate tools / tech that enhances performance and build roadmap for tech stack in collaboration with the central tools/tech teams
  • Build and share Tools & Playbooks for market support: Creating Toolkits/Playbooks, building and delivering training materials that will allow local teams to receive the support and guidance needed to operate locally in line with the strategy

Qualifications/Requirements:

Please note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
  • 7-9 years of experience in Commercial Roles (Sales, Account management)
  • Digital native / Experience on eCommerce RTM and best practices with prior experience managing the eCommerce channel
  • Experience building business cases and plans and communicating upward as well as through the organization
  • Have the agility to work in a fast moving, matrix organisation and the ability to build brilliant relationships to deliver amazing outcomes
  • Results-Driven— This person will be responsible for driving recommendations that result in action and change. A “can-do” attitude and experience working in a fast-moving market with a lean team or startup environment. Ability to work independently to deliver results in nebulous environments with little direction.
  • Communication - Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues in a clear and concise manner
  • Efficient: proven experience to deliver under pressure and to tight deadlines
