An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Instrumentation Sales Engineer to join our Brisbane office. This role will see you create demand and drive growth of Emerson’s portfolio of Flow Products, Engineered Solutions and Lifecycle Services offerings specifically focused on the Hydrocarbon value chain within the QLD and PNG markets.
 
Responsibilities
  • Proactive demand creation and business development activities within new and existing customers for the Flow Solutions Group product, services and engineered solutions offering.
  • Working within the QLD regional team to provide appropriate technical support in Emerson pursuits
  • Effective planning and strategy development to manage your assigned region and ensure sustainable growth
  • Timely and accurate reporting (in CRM and other) on a regular basis
  • Travel within the region regularly and interstate periodically

Education, Knowledge and Experience
  • Tertiary engineering or technical qualification within instrumentation, process or automation fields is highly regarded. Relevant practical experience considered
  • Tertiary business or marketing qualification highly regarded. Relevant practical experience considered
  • Previous sales or marketing experience selling instrumentation (or similar) into the Process Industries (i.e O&G, Chem, M&M, F&B, W/WW, Power)
    Quantifiable experience in developing demand, creating trusted advisor relationships and delivering value messaging of highly technical products, services and solutions.
  • Exposure and technical understanding of flow instrumentation technologies – Coriolis, Ultrasonic, Magnetic, Vortex, Differential Pressure. An understanding of Fiscal Metering advantageous
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to form and manage both technical and commercial relationships at field and corporate levels within our clients organizations
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to solving our customers critical business problems and absolute focus on delivering value
