About the role

Our New York office is looking for an Associate to join the Healthcare Services Investment Banking team. The Associate will have the opportunity to work with international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. 


The Associate will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to clients and will play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who are leaders in the industry. The expectation is that everyone on the team goes beyond the numbers to create innovative solutions for the firm’s clients.



Prior experience should include:

·         3-5 years working within the investment banking industry as an analyst or associate with a proven track record executing deals across various industry sectors including mergers and acquisitions, debt or equity financing transactions for public and private companies

·         Analyzing financial statements and providing financial analysis;

·         Building and analyzing financial models including operating models, M&A and LBO valuations and models;

·         Developing complex presentations and financial models using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.


The ideal candidate will have:

·         Commercial instinct and the ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines;

·         The ability to manage multiple projects;

·         Superior valuation skills;

·         Excellent analytical and decision making abilities;

·         Extraordinarily high level of motivation and commitment to working hard;

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills;

·         Extraordinarily high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail;

·         MBA Preferred;

·         Series licensing.


Responsibilities will include:

·         Managing actively participating in the execution of corporate finance transactions;

·         Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research;

·         Building and analyzing financial models including operating models, M&A and LBO valuations and models;

·         Developing complex presentations and financial models;

·         Contributing to team discussions and client meetings;

·         Developing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner.
