Job Description

The Robotics Process Automation Technical Architect has good experience in UiPath Platform, Web Technologies (J2EE, .NET, etc.), desktop applications (Windows, Java), integration technologies, APIs, and other platforms. The technical architect works closely with the business analyst to define the potential for automation for a particular process, defines the automation solution, and the complexity of the automaton to be developed. The technical architect has knowledge of the automation product, understands the client IT landscape, confirms the feasibility of the automation for the defined processes, and defines the technical architecture, test, and deploy the automation components. The person should be hands-on and may be able to code if required.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and architecting the product/solution primarily using RPA/ IA platforms
  • Ensuring customer requirements are translated into functional/ technical specifications and detailed level designs
  • Ensuring the product/solution architecture is scalable and extensible
  • Driving the adoption of best practices around coding, design, quality, and performance
  • Constantly upgrading the product with evolving technology and customer requirements
  • Partner with our customers to identify the best-customized solution that meets their requirements in terms of RPA strategy on an enterprise-level
  • Leading the organization in exploiting technology and using knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and to support business process design
  • Supporting the development team in developing solutions
  • Estimating costs and preparing business cases for IT solutions, giving due consideration to infrastructure, licensing, development, and support
  • Working with the project team to develop high-level project schedule and resource plans for implementation
  • Providing pre-sales support to the sales team during RFI/RFP and PoC stages, including the drafting of RFI/RFP responses.
  • Lead and mentor small & large teams of developers

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Overall 8 to 10 years of experience including a minimum of 3 years in a professional senior technical role (e.g. technical lead, team lead, or architect)
  • Experience in defining and implementing RPA strategy and solution architecture for at least 2 customers.
  • Experience in programming languages (VB, C#, .NET, C++) is a must
  • Must be a certified UiPath Advanced Developer. Certification on Solutions Architect would be an added advantage
  • Should be equipped with knowledge of latest products/ offerings by IA Platform Providers
  • Experience in process documentation and analysis, PDD or SDDs, including specification of system requirements for business processes
  • Assist development team in resolving technical problems
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Results-oriented with the ability to produce products/solutions that deliver organizational benefit
  • Strong critical thinker with problem-solving aptitude
  • Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-team to ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated outside-the-box problem-solving skills
  • Strategic business acumen and understanding of organization strategy with the ability to design IT solutions to deliver that strategy
  • Exposure to deploying automations on web-based systems, mainframe systems, SAP, Windows-based mainframe

Qualifications

Bachelor university degree in Engineering/Computer Science, BCA, MCA

Additional Information

Good to have:

  • Prior experience in object-oriented programming
  • Prior experience in Python language would be preferred
  • Certified as Solution Architect in Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere
  • Exposure to business processes within the BFSI domain will be an advantage
  • Qualifications in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) is an advantage
