Job Description:

NIH supported Post-doctoral position available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Douglas Andres for a talented and motivated individual with documented research accomplishments and bench skills. The candidate will be expected to participate in ongoing analysis of novel Ras family GTPase signaling cascades in cardiovascular disease. Our research team uses an integrative approach to explore heart failure progression that includes molecular, cellular, biochemical, and genetic methods in primary cells and engineered mice models. Significant projects with innovative animal models are currently underway and are well suited for a postdoc to complete in the near future.

Job Requirements

Applicants must possess a recent Ph.D. in biomedical sciences and experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, cardiovascular disease, molecular signaling or a closely related field, and a publication record of original peer-reviewed research. Experience with mouse models and relevant techniques such as molecular and cellular biology, signaling, and work with animal models is preferred. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, to be highly organized, and fluency in spoken and written English is required.
