Position Description

  • Airside NPD Engineer to be responsible for developing new airside products and new features to drive airside business growth, as well as standardizing product designs and improving product quality to enhance product competitiveness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop new airside products and new features according to the MRD (Market Requirement Document); create product models, part drawings and BOM (Bill Of Material), and release into Windchill system.
  • Follow TTPPM (Trane Tech Project and Portfolio Management) process to collaborate with cross-function teams on the NPD project execution, such as design schedule monitor and control, product design concept generation and feasibility analysis, prototype unit build and cost analysis, manufacturing assessment and verification, project gate reviews, etc.
  • Document new product design data, deliver to airside engineering system team and airside sales tools team for follow up development tasks, and provide necessary supports.
  • Cross functional communication to drive the project progress.
  • Complete associated tasks assigned by Manager on time.

Critical Experiences

  • 5+ years working experience in related jobs.
  • Familiar with airside product structure, and strong airside product and airside system engineering knowledge.
  • Familiar with new product development process.

Critical Competencies

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in HVAC engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge in airside product structural design and system engineering, as well as air system applications.
  • In-depth knowledge on mechanical design, BOM, engineering change management.
  • Proficient in CAD design software’s (Pro-E, AutoCAD etc.).
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office software are required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent in logical and analytical, and attentive and careful in daily work is required.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, positive can-do attitude and results-driven mindset are required.
  • Related GB, Eurovent or AHRI standard knowledge.
  • Good English writing & speaking skills will be preferred.
