Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to leverage BlackLine technology to enhance service offerings, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of BlackLine products into our broader service offerings, acting as the subject matter expert and thought leader within the firm.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by monitoring the effectiveness of the BlackLine practice, making data-driven adjustments to processes and strategies as needed to drive growth and client success.
  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing optimization of BlackLine solutions across client engagements, ensuring alignment with best practices and efficient and effective deployments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for BlackLine product inquiries, training, and support for internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Engage with FaaS team members to understand their needs, customize solutions accordingly, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships to ensure continued satisfaction.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of comprehensive training programs for internal and client delivery teams to enhance proficiency in BlackLine usage, ensuring optimal utilization of the platform.
  • Establishment and monitoring of data integrations from other solutions and data providers used within FaaS.
  • Lead the evaluation of additional BlackLine modules and third-party integrations to enhance service capabilities.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed team of technical consultants, fostering a culture of innovation. Conduct performance evaluations, mentor, and provide career development guidance for team members.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a robust control environment within the BlackLine platform, regularly assessing and enhancing internal controls and compliance measures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, with the ability to lead and manage the transition of accounting processes and systems, ensuring minimal disruption and maximizing adoption and buy-in from all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years of direct experience with BlackLine system implementation and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of BlackLine modules, including Account Reconciliations, Task Management, Journals, Transaction Matching and Compliance.
  • BlackLine Implementation and/or Administrator Certification
  • Deep understanding of financial close processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Proven track record of leading technology-driven projects and initiatives within an accounting or financial services environment.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, capable of motivating and guiding teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with clients.
  • Experience designing controls and compliance measure with BlackLine workflows.
  • Expertise in integrating Blackline with ERPs to create a unified financial ecosystem.
