Position Summary:  The main purpose of this role is to meet identified sales targets by selling products, systems, and services via telephone or electronic means to customers or accounts within an assigned territory.  Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities.  This will involve building and developing relationships within assigned accounts, and identifying new prospects for the company’s solutions.  In addition to selling products, this role is also responsible for selling and leveraging service offerings to address customer needs.  The Inside Sales organization operates and teams with sales development and field sales as part of an integrated selling model across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell the Symantec’s Email Security products, via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory.
  • The candidate will be responsible for new quota carrying opportunities within the region and to achieve/exceed bookings target. 
  • Focus on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers.
  • Build relationships with field account teams to jointly position the entire Email Security portfolio, to uncover opportunities and grow pipeline
  • Develop and close strategic revenue opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Coordinate closely with account manager teammates in order to manage and develop your assigned territory, to maximize results and avoid conflict.
  • Build the appropriate team for each opportunity.  Coordinate Symantec personnel including presales, consultants, services, etc., to drive value into the client base and close sales.
  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with key decision makers and influencers within client organizations.
  • Ability to sell deep and develop our existing business. Increase deal size and drive revenue. 
  • Responsible for accurate and timely revenue forecasting and updates.
  • Overcome basic customer objections 
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with configuration management tools, SaaS, or license sales and a proven track record managing and overachieving on quota 
  • Ability to sell deep and develop our existing business. 
  • Knowledge of practical MS Office applications including Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of CRM tools such as SFDC. 
  • Motivation to expand personal and professional knowledge of product and sales skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with solid presentation skills.
  • Able to build and nurture strong collaborative relationships with account team members.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business administration or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience and successful track record in technology sales, retiring quota
  • Background in business development and inside selling experience
  • Experienced with team selling and the integrated selling model
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company
