Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

manage and coordinate the technical writing and technical documentation (Instructions For User etc.) and Localization/Translations (SW and user documentation) for various products/projects.

The position include responsibility for technical writing of specific work packages, managing and coordinating the work of other technical writers and vendors (including localization/translation vendors) supporting the projects.

You are responsible for

  • Manage the entire life-cycle of multiple localization projects
  • Manage the work of technical writers and vendors (including localization/translation vendors) supporting the various projects
  • Prepare and maintain projects technical documentation
  • Responsibility for technical writing of specific work packages
  • Coordinate all the project phases and efficiently predict the lifespan of all the stages of the project
  • Coordinate all the work around localization-related defects
  • Negotiate deadlines and rates with vendors
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract translators and proofreaders globally
  • Monitor and control projects status
  • Manage localization project finances, including budgeting
  • Comply with the relevant processes & procedures
  • Perform quality checks at various stages of programs to ensure quality and accuracy (proofreading, final eye…)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Experience in technical writing and managing documentation and localization projects (including SW/UI localization)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages – advantage
  • University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)
  • Previous professional experience in a similar or other position in R&D corporate environment – advantage
  • Attention-to-detail personality
  • Project management and project coordination skills
  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows)
  • Experience in translation and localization project management would be a strong advantage
