Responsibilities

The Business Data Analyst WSB FCC supports the CPLE Oversight team for:

  • the consolidation of activity and risk indicators defined to oversight Financial Crime on Wholesale group activities within Wholesale Pilar Compliance teams;
  • the first-level analysis of their evolution over time to be adressed with WSB/FCC supervisors and other relevant WSB/FCC stakeholders ;
  • the enrichment of the existing oversight framework with new indicators, defined at central or pilar level.

Main oversight activities are as follow :

  • Extract the data entered into the system and performing consistency checks. Identifying anomalies or inconsistencies and obtaining relevant data, starting with discussions with entity supervisors. Ensuring a high level of quality and completeness of the data entered into the system.
  • The management and monitoring of financial crime data, including the collection of data from appropriate sources (databases, other data sources).
  • Discussing and analyzing with supervisors any identified and unjustified deviation
  • Applying if necessary to the remediation plan and related monitoring
  • Periodic reporting of the conclusions for the controls.
  • Contributes to the preparation of Financial Crime Governance (COMCO, AMLOC, CBC, RTB, EMEA FC Oversight meeting ...): information collection, KRI dashboard production, preparation, and dissemination of slide-deck, monitoring the action plans defined in the previous meeting, …
  • Contributes to regular exercises to oversee the scope of financial offenses: QLB (Questionnaire against money laundering), capacity assessment, risk classification. Defining remedial plans to improve data quality and monitoring the launch of remediation plans. Stay up to date with risk and compliance measures and report any potential risks. Analyzing the main causes of anomalies, identifying corrective actions, and collaborating with various support teams to correct data quality errors.

Main Project activities:

  • Contribute to the process of continuous improvement of existing reporting processes and to transversal projects related to the subject of supervision (optimization of tools, review of data quality, review of the set of indicators, review of the set of indicators).
  • In collaboration with the various project stakeholders involved, finalizes and updates the requirements of the CPLE department to develop and enhance risk oversight indicators (e.g. KRI, compliance incidents, etc.)
  • Active participation in the improvement of existing reporting processes and in the analysis of new business requirements, participation in the realization of transversal works (optimization of working methods, facilitation of discussions within the project community), updating the work plan (advancing on project stages) and monitoring its execution.
  • Maintain the “RUN” documentation: formalizing procedures, ensuring that team procedures are up to date.

  • 3-5 years of banking experience in the following functions: Audit or inspection, compliance, legal, reporting/control
  • Oral fluent and written in English and French
  • Good Excel (Excel VBA basic), Power BI
  • Ideal capacity to create macro-PowerPoint presentations (clean presentations) and ability to strengthen their competence regarding the specific tools of the intervention area.
  • Experience in managing databases and their exploitation.
  • Analytical and synthesis (business analysis)
  • Knowledge related to Project Management methodology
  • Facilitation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory topics
  • Ability to launch proposals and facilitate the resolution of topics.
  • Knowledge regarding the specific risks of AML, KYC, EMBARGO is a plus.
