Join our team as a Data Science Sr. Manager, where you will develop approaches and/or processes to accomplish goals with an emphasis on advanced programming, research, and analytics. A strong communicator who can effectively operate in a senior analyst capacity in direct collaboration with key stakeholders across functions and lines-of-business.

Job Description:

  • Works with a wide range of proprietary, industry-standard and open-source data stores and tools to assemble, organize and analyze data
  • Converts data into actionable insights
  • Utilizes data visualization tools to tell an effective story
  • Leverages a variety of statistical and mathematical techniques and algorithms to analyze a variety of datasets to solve complex business problems
  • Designs controlled experiments to test and validate hypotheses
  • Understands and translates business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Deep understanding of data structure and strong SQL skills 
  • Experience using statistical programming languages (Python, R) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Practical understanding of advanced statistics, A/B testing, machine learning, and data mining
  • Adept at explaining and converting complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences at various levels of the business
  • Strong storytelling capabilities
  • Aptitude for learning new theory and new technology
  • Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar STEM discipline

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Master’s Degree with 2+ years of advanced analytics experience
  • Functional industry experience in finance, operations, sales, marketing, credit/risk, or technology
  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry
