Job Description

Principal Lead – Research Facilitator/Service Designer, would be responsible for performing User Research, designing journey maps, planning and executing co-creation workshops, and crafting the Service Blueprint. Mentor researchers & designers on the team, building a strong UX culture, and creating effective, usable and satisfying experience. Provide direction, mentorship, conduct reviews to ensure we stay on course, are effective, powerful, engaging and rewarding by taking a user centered design approach. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with UX Researchers, Designers, Business Architects, Data Analytics Teams, Product Stakeholders & Managers, Developers and more importantly Leaders to identify opportunities that will benefit from user centered design approach or UX offerings.
  • Conduct Qualitative or Quantitative UX Research - analysing behaviours and desires to enhance our product experience. Use analysis to inform new strategies to improve UX, by focussing on measurable results (KBMs/KPIs/numerical data).
  • Facilitate complex engagements/ work sessions/ sprints for key decision-makers and cross-functional teams to solve problems using Design Thinking and more.
  • Plan, lead & manage end to end workshops, synthesize raw workshop data, and present learnings through details service blueprints and/or readouts to help inform the design of experiences.
  • Crafting User Journeys, define ‘Jobs to be done’ to help inform user stories, wireframes, information architecture, and other project deliverables to illustrate the intended user experience.
  • Collaborate with various teams to build human-centred scenarios that translate stories into compelling business, product and/or service experience transformation opportunities.
  • Create frameworks/ artefacts that deconstruct complex information to communicate concepts and business value, as simply and effectively as possible, whilst achieving the highest possible aesthetic.
  • Rapidly bring ideas to life through a variety of means, from hand-drawn storyboards to functioning prototypes and beautifully designed artefacts with digital prototyping tools (eg. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
  • Present ideas, including rationale based on customer research and best practices, to the product development team and other key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of broad experience of conducting hands on UX Research - Qualitative & Quantitative, including Usability studies, Interviews, Contextual Inquiries, Surveys, Card Sorts etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of user-centered design process, UX best-practices and relevant disciplines, including information architecture, interaction, and visual design.
  • Experience working on a design system, design tokens, components, patterns, etc.
  • Proven experience in presenting designs to stakeholders including the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and rationale.
  • Proficient prototyping and mockup skills to convey ideas and concepts.
  • Experience working with industry standard visualization tools and software (e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills,
  • Ability to work in both waterfall and agile project processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven Storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to interpret product requirements documents from a user-centered perspective.
  • Working knowledge of Usability testing and experience collaborating with UX research teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of project management and business process management concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to raise issues and concerns and see them through to completion
