The Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver is an interdisciplinary professional school of international studies that prepares students for careers in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. The Josef Korbel School of International Studies seeks a highly-qualified individual to serve as a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor to serve as the primary teaching resource for general and security specific quantitative methods and statistics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level. The appointment is for one year with an option, by mutual agreement, for a second year. The ideal candidate has extensive professional and/or academic experience with research methods and quantitative analysis techniques associated with addressing current global, international, or national security questions as well as general statistical methods. A Master's degree in a relevant professional/academic field is a minimum requirement; PhD preferred. The Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor will teach a total of six courses over three quarters of which two or three would be graduate level general statistics courses, two or three would be graduate level security program specific methods/quantitative analysis courses, and one would be a general undergraduate quantitative methods and design course. The specific courses and the arrangement of those courses across the three quarters are negotiable.
The position begins September 1, 2018.
