Functional Description:

International Card Services within AEBC (American Express Banking Corp.) India is focused on a multi-year roadmap to drive critical Growth, Efficiency and Governance initiatives.

As part of this newly created team to drive this strategic project, this Project Manager role will partner to champion implementation and Go-To-Market of our Point of Arrival Rewards Platform and Customer Marketing Capabilities; and help deliver on our goals of improving operational efficiency and driving top and bottom-line impacts. 

Experience in loyalty, new product / capability development and project management across large growth or regulatory focused initiatives will be essential along with excellent relationship management abilities to drive and influence cross project teams & stake holder groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of the larger project team, drive rollout of Point of Arrival Rewards Platform and Customer Marketing Capabilities for both Consumer and Corporate businesses.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Consultant, Vendor, and other teams to define features and requirements and drive timely implementation of milestones. Serve as the owner of the requirements and present them in various forums – legal/compliance reviews, PI Planning, leadership updates etc.
  • Collaborate with the larger project management office and project team to identify & mitigate barriers to roadmap execution, including understanding critical cross-workstream and cross-platform dependencies.
  • Drive delivery by creating and maintaining a comprehensive view of the end-to-end program plan, including tracking risks & key program decisions.
  • Providing ongoing visibility of the roadmap, project plans, progress, dependencies, and risks to leadership and business partners
  • Measure of success would also be prevention of risk (both operational and legal/internal policies) and driving more streamlined and simplified business, operational and sound governance processes.

Qualifications and experiences required: 

  • Overall 8+ years of experience in areas of loyalty, product development, project management, with proven track record for on such implementations.
  • Focus on results – ability to live and breathe customer marketing and loyalty performance.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.
  • Experience working across global markets, with track record of success in managing complex initiatives would be beneficial.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills & rigor - ability to source and interpret data/facts in a meaningful way and present a compelling story to support decision making.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills plus outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to craft messages that clearly and succinctly communicate key messages for internal and external audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort delivering presentations at senior executive level.
  • The ability to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams and to be highly credible with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
