What You'll Do:

We are seeking a Production Accountant to join the ATTN: Production Studio. You’ll report to the Director of Finance and will work in close partnership with the Production team to manage finances and maintain financial records for original and branded content production projects. 

You are bright, motivated, and passionate about production. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and maintain financial accounting records during entirety of the production (this includes pre-production, production, post-production and wrap)
  • Will work closely with line producers, supervising producers, and the other above the line production staff
  • Manage the procure to pay cycle and accounts payable processing and procedures
  • Liaise with financiers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
  • Manage the day-to-day production accounting books
  • Assist with reviewing the freelancer payroll batches prepared by the production payroll coordinator
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise management on needed actions
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect production operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Complete month-end close in a timely manner
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare specialized cost reports for management when needed

Who You Are:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or accounts payable
  • Bachelor’s degree. Degree in Accounting or a Business-related field is a plus
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be well organized, a self-starter, detail oriented, and reliable
  • Experience in Entertainment and Media is a plus

This position has an estimated annual salary range of $80,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.

Candidates must be based in Los Angeles. This will be a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days in office.
