RESPONSIBILITIES

Dual Reporting to the SEA Finance Business Partner and Head of FinOps, this role handles the finance operations of the 4 South East Asia entities. As a key member of the finance team, this person is responsible for finance processes, regulatory requirements including audit and direct and indirect tax, internal control environment and ensuring business governance and best practices are in place. This role will interact with finance, operations, account management across SEA.

Indirect Taxes

  • Providing accurate data to our local consultants to allow them to prepare indirect tax returns and pay taxes
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of draft returns

Taxes

  • Providing accurate data to our local consultants to prepare and file direct tax returns
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of draft returns
  • Coordinating with Central team to get tax returns reviewed

Audit

  • Act as the SPOC for coordinating audits for 4 entities with tight timelines
  • Providing accurate data as per auditor’s requests
  • Decent knowledge of preparation of Financial Statements and IFRS

Month End Closure Activities

  • Ensuring correct revenue and cost accrual and deferral journal entries
  • Recharging related entities and managing intercompany transactions and balances
  • Reviewing month end P&L to ensure accuracy

Non Month End Activities

Master Data Management

  • Ensuring customer and vendor master data is setup properly as per agreed timelines on receiving request from business
  • Resolving validation issues for customer invoicing and supplier payments

Supplier Payment Runs & Manual payments

  • Work closely with account management team and service provider for invoice posting, supplier queries and check the correctness of the invoices posted into Workday
  • Check accuracy of payment runs and get necessary approvals
  • Support processing of manual or urgent payments

Ad hoc/Others

  • Providing support to Finance Business Partner for Forecasts and Budgets
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc management/financial reporting and analysis to finance business partner
  • Any other Ad-hoc tasks

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Education – Preferably CA/CA Inter/B.Com (H) from a reputable institution
  • Experience – Minimum 3 years in handling FinOps, Audit and Tax compliances; desirable to have worked on Workday and Adaptive, but not necessary
