What to Expect

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of medium to large complex projects that are often cross-organizational initiatives in support of strategic objectives. This position supports EPMO leadership in implementing and maintaining project management governance, standards, methodology and processes.

What You Will Do

1. Project Management

  • Lead end to end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex, cross functional projects in alignment with approved scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, risk logs, issue logs, and status reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define project objectives, success criteria, and deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and issues; escalate appropriately.
  • Coordinate internal and/or external resources across multiple functions and teams to ensure effective execution and accountability.
  • Identify all interdependencies and ensure appropriate integration to project plan.
  • Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee updates and executive communications.
  • Ensure all projects are managed within the company's project delivery framework and utilize company and industry standard project management methodologies and tools.
  • Manage change impacts related to people, process, and technology as part of the project delivery.

2. Process Improvement

  • Support continuous improvement of PMO practices, templates, and processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and EPMO leaders to identify and maximize opportunities to improve processes, coordinate efforts to reduce cost and improve service offerings.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 8 years’ related project and program management experience leading medium to large-scale complex in a corporate environment. including at least 3 years in the financial services industry.
  • Captive Automotive financial services industries preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Methodologies and tool sets preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) required.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong project management expertise managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proficiency with standard project management tools, budget software and reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks associated with projects.
  • Demonstrated skill with change management and addressing impact related to resources, process and technology.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive accountability across teams.
  • Strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to interact and influence peers, managers and senior leaders
  • Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks associated with projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and hold them accountable to deliverables and budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate, facilitate and negotiate with cross functional departments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong orientation toward results coupled with reputation for integrity, creativity and good judgment
  • Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices.

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
