The Role: Senior Software Developer( Full Stack Engineer )

The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled software engineer for Sustainable1. This developer would help us to accelerate our ESG Analytics work.

The Impact: As a developer, you will be part of a development team that manages and supports the internal applications that is supporting ESG datasets. This role expects a candidate to handle any data processing, big data application development.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, and implement software components for Climanomics platform.
  • Perform analysis and articulate solutions.
  • Design underlying engineering for use in multiple product offerings supporting a large volume of end-users.
  • Develop project plans with task breakdowns and estimates.
  • Manage and improve existing solutions.
  • Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • 5 + years of experience working with highly available, data-at-scale in a production environment
  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development
  • Solid understanding of Data Engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems
  • Experience with large datasets and ETL pipelines in cloud environments (preferably with Postgres, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB)
  • Knowledge of good System design and architecture practices, object-oriented design, and design patterns
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in distributed event streaming platform like Apache Kafka
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with developer and Business users.
  • Experience programming in Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to working in AWS environment
  • Nice to have skills: Apache Spark, Scala, Databricks
  • Experience with SAFe Agile Framework
  • Experience in Devops and container platform such as Docker Enterprise or Kubernetes.
