Manager, Software Engineer - Platform Engineering

Overview

The US Open Banking Platform Engineering team is looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to drive our Internal Developer Platform forward and lead/own our developer experience and be a key driver in automating everything. The ideal candidate is passionate about Internal Developer Platforms, is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role

In this leadership position, you will:

  • Manage incoming work from our intake process.
  • Guide business stakeholders and other teams to find solutions to their problems.
  • Take ownership of the developer experience for the US Open Banking.
  • Define, design, build and deploy our Internal Developer Platform.
  • Lead a team based in Salt Lake City and Mumbai to success.

All About You

The ideal candidate for this position should:

  • Have a mid-to-advanced level understanding of Kubernetes, AWS and Terraform.
  • Experience in node.js, golang or python and an understanding of SDLC principles.
  • Be a strong, confident and careful communicator to manage up and out to stakeholders.
  • Be comfortable dealing with unique problems and helping organize and align solutions.
  • Own how resources and applications get deployed in a sustainable manner.
  • Be capable of explaining complex technical issues in layman's terms.
  • Be able to collect feedback from stakeholders and create requirements for moving forward.
  • Be passionate about developer experiences and have a vision.
  • Own a team operating in a scrum or kanban style workflow.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $138,000 - $221,000 USD
