Digital Video Editor (freelance)

Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a versatile freelance digital video editor (with producer sensibilities) who has advanced experience in the Adobe Creative suite and strong knowledge of video content for social media and other online distribution to deliver promos, sizzles, social and other short-form formats.

This position is based out of HMPG’s Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities

  • Producing videos across a variety of media platforms
  • Curating a library of content
  • Coordinating with networks for promo deliverables
  • Interfacing with series production and digital teams to share assets
  • Develop graphics and branding that can be used for online and broadcast campaigns
  • Execute social media content distribution plans

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in post-production/social media video production/design and animation 
  • Mastery of Premiere is a must 
  • Experience with AfterEffects and Photoshop preferred 
  • Experience editing high-end content for social/digital platforms 
  • Understanding of web-based codecs and workflows. 
  • The ability to distill complex stories into fast-paced, short form, snackable content
  • The ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
