The Vice President, Global Integrated Supply Chain is responsible for global sourcing, materials, and working capital function for Pall Corporation. The Vice President defines the overall strategy, organization structure, and DBS processes for these functions to ensure customer requirements are met and Pall Corporation's Core Value Drivers (CVD’s) are achieved. These CVD’s include: OTD, Past Due Backlog, QIT, PPV/VAVE savings and have a direct impact on overall spread cost for the business. The successful incumbent will work to define a high-performing organizational design that drives effective deployment and sustainment of DBS capability for the function leveraging DMS, Supply Base Management (SBM), Cost and Savings Funnel Management (CSFM), as well as more tactical tools (Kanban, PSP, IMAG, etc.). This role is an onsite position and is part of the Global Operations Team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Responsible for ensuring Strategic Sourcing and Materials objectives align with sales and shipment goals, for both short-term and long-term agreements with customers, to ensure capacity, manpower, and technology are in place to support all requirements. Strategic “make/buy” decisions and supplier sourcing/location decisions will result from the careful analysis of data to ensure maximum efficiencies and cost controls are maintained.
  • Accountable for promoting and deploying Danaher Business Systems (DBS) to achieve breakthrough performance in Quality, Delivery, and Cost of products procured and produced using DMS, SBM, and CSFM. Actively manage a DMS kaizen funnel to provide visibility of events, and focus on gap closure, and sustainment. Schedule, charter, and facilitate events according to the phases of this funnel.
  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS/DMS training and coaching. Augment with additional resources (DBSO, outside resources) where applicable, and improve DBS/DMS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others.
  • Ensures inventory and shipping/receiving functions at manufacturing plants are operating at levels that meet customers' needs and established financial benchmarks. Formulates and recommends sourcing/materials policies and programs which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives necessary for achieving optimum labor, and least amount of overhead and raw material costs. Owns alignment of these initiatives with Sourcing and Materials teams on vendor development programs and PPV initiatives.
  • Partner with BU Presidents to align and provide consistent leadership to ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned projects and growth initiatives. Drive an engaging team culture by leading the strategic sourcing and materials teams to achieve delivery of distinctively high-quality products and services, including performance, reliability, cost, and on-time delivery. Identify and close skill gaps in the sourcing and materials teams while also guiding and mentoring.
  • Responsible for the compliance and implementation of Process and Operating Instruction (briefings) congruent to those of the Corporation. Ensure compliance with Special Worker Safety-relevant Legal Requirements (Labor Protection Law, Industrial Constitution Law etc.) for the region and per corporate HSE guidelines. Most maintain a conscious and proactive HSE culture moving away from occurrence toward avoidance.
  • Lead Performance and Development Process for all direct reports, including providing coaching and development opportunities that will allow everyone’s potential to be maximized. Drive the annual engagement survey as well as lead the execution of follow-up activities, both for the organization as well as with people leaders.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or Master's degree in Management, Operations Management, or a technical field would be preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of diverse manufacturing management experience, specifically in the areas of Strategic Sourcing and Materials management.
  • At least 10 years of experience in people management, including direct and indirect leadership of teams with 10 or more individuals across global locations.
  • Prior experience working in a multinational company with a matrix organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and practices in an industrial operations environment, with a particular focus on sourcing and materials. Global experience in this regard is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements applicable to the industry and customers served.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally and domestically, up to 50% of the time, in order to support project and business development efforts, as well as to collaborate with a global staff.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of the Global Marketplace with experience ideally in filtration and separation processes or related disciplines.
  • Experience in developing business strategy and leading strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.
  • Strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
